On Saturday, October 10, 2020, The Town of Troy will be holding an Electronics Recycling event from 8am until 11am. Electronic items can be dropped off at the Town Garage located at N8851 County Road N in Troy Center. Please bring proof of residence. If you are bringing large televisions, you will need to unload those items. So if they’re heavy please bring someone to help you with those items. Persons with disabilities that may need assistance unloading should let the i.d. checker know. We do not except large office equipment (example: Copy machines).
Halloween Trick or Treating for children is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 31st in the Town of Troy. Obviously, this year’s Halloween Trick or Treating may look a lot different with Covid-19. Some families and residences will be choosing to participate, and some will choose not to. If you are participating and will be handing out candy, we ask you to turn on your outside house light or be outside to hand out candy during this time, so children know you are participating. If you choose not to turn off your outside house light, or make a sign advising children you are not participating but will see them next year.

October 20th In-person absentee voting will start at the Troy Town Hall and continue on:
Tuesday, October 20, 2020 through Friday, October 23, 2020, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Monday, October 26, 2020 through Thursday, October 29, 2020 8:00am-4:00pm
and Friday, October 30, 2020 8:00am-5:00pm.
If you are just handing in your absentee ballot at the Town Hall you are welcome to use the “DROP BOX” located at the parking lot entrance to the Town Hall.
Chip sealing is scheduled for Kitte Court, Gavers Court and Otto Court in the Town of Troy. Work is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020. Minor traffic delays may occur while the work is being completed. Your patience is appreciated.
Walworth County currently has 1,966 laboratory confirmed cases of the disease as of 9/9/2020. Six cases are currently hospitalized. Town of Troy Highway Department is seeking snow plow truck drivers for the 2020-2021 plowing season. The position will be on call/as needed. There may be possible additional hours available performing highway maintenance tasks at the discretion of the Highway Superintendent. A CDL License (minimum of a Class B with air brake endorsement) preferred. The Town of Troy offers competitive wages.
